Bushcraft Day for Cub Scouts

A fun day of Bushcraft Activities at Phasels Wood for Cub Scouts to include making shelters, lighting fires, cooking and tracking. Young people can be accompanied by parents but we would love for leaders to attend to help with crowd control and running the activities.

Please would you let your Cubs know about this event and encourage them to attend. There is a letter attached for you to give out to them. I am circulating this now because I know that some groups send out packs to members during the Summer Holidays while others may want to give them out either before the holidays start or even when they start back in September.
As the event is planned for the end of September the timescale will be very tight if it is just left to the new term. I would rather if possible have the letters distributed twice so that we can catch those parents that like to pay and book early as well as those that like to do so late! As usual I can provide hard copies for those sections that prefer and am also happy to arrange for someone to come to your section to talk about this event before distribution if you would prefer someone else to do that for you.
It would be absolutely fantastic if you could attend and help on the day (if you would then please send me a message on gowerkeith@hotmail.co.uk or fill your name in on the form) but remember your Cubs can attend even if you can’t make this date – we are asking parents to come along to walk round with the Cubs.
When replies and monies are returned to you please collate them using the attached form and return the completed sheet to Maureen Shelley (1 Crossfell Road HP3 8RB) with the correct fee by Saturday 14th September.
