Draft covid risk assessment & other resources

Hi

With apologies for the delay, please find attached a draft risk assessment conducted for Boxmoor HQ which you may find useful when considering arrangements for your own meeting places.

I have also attached two other documents:

  • Slides from the July leader’s meeting, covering the starting points for conversations within leadership teams prior to returning to face-to-face Scouting.
  • Notes from the GSLs meeting with a more granular list of potential risks/considerations.

Useful guidance notes from HQ

There are guides on specific topics (such as consulting with parents, getting everyone to/from the meeting place safely, first aid etc) at:

The webinar held by HQ on the topic of returning to face-to-face activities can be viewed here:

Inspiration for “Covid-safe” programme ideas

The team at Gilwell have also put together some example activities which are considered “Covid-safe” – to assist with the programme-planning side of things following feedback that coming up with ideas for a programme is more challenging than usual:

Our local team of volunteer risk-assessment reviewers are meeting (via Zoom) on Monday evening. If you have draft risk assessments you’d like us to review (or just questions for us), please send them to me over the weekend.

Thanks

Russ
