District AGM

Our District AGM takes place on 22^nd May and this year we are lucky to be joined by a guest speaker, Steve Judge, who will talk about “being the best you can be”. This event is suitable for youngsters aged 10+

Steve was born in Kings Langley and is a two-times World Champion para-triathlete. In 2002 he was in a horrific car accident in 2002 after which he was told that due to severe injuries to both legs, he may never walk again. Thanks to medical excellence from Sheffield hospital and sheer determination, dedication and commitment, he has managed to achieve set goals and surpass belief to reach the status of World Champion of Paratriathlon Tri 3.

As a national Scouting Ambassador, Steve aims to inspire and motivate young people and adults to “be the best you can be”. His speaking appearances have been described as “amazing”, “incredible” and “unmissable”.

Our venue for this year has comfortable seating, is well lit and has plenty of space to accommodate everyone. Free parking is available just a few minutes walk from the venue, in either:

• the Water Gardens car park, (the covered car park does not allow entry after 6pm so please use either the one broadly opposite Bank Court)
• the long stay Moor End Road long stay car park (free after 6pm)
